Odds and Ends

Bits and pieces from Miller Manor....

The girl who introduced us to Laika, Mariah Mountanos, was recently featured in the local pet paper, Fetch.

This morning on our walk, we found a little garter snake in the street. We moved him over to the nearby grass, but it was pretty cold and he was pretty sluggish. On the way back from our walk, I scooped him up, took this photo, then let him go in the yard, under a bit of grass where I hope he was safe from the local crows.

Sometimes our cats show a dry sense of humor, especially puns. Steve noticed this cat pun this morning..."underdog"....

What's the blurry thing behind the branch here? That's a baby Red-tailed Hawk!

Here's some of the reasons I get to have a site called auntt.com...we were all happy to watch hometown hero Sam Hornish win in the exiting last moments at Indy -- I was surprised we didn't see some of Redwood City's finest at the doorstep after all the noise we made! These were taken during some quieter moments...

And, finally, we can't resist yet more Laika photos -- being cute on the chair with her rope chew, and a couple of shots from dog training class.
