Some October Photos

Here's some photos from late October, from around the house and at Maker Faire Austin. The chicks aren't chicks any more, that's for sure!

Roadtrip to Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada

We did a classic roadtrip vacation, this time in a northerly loop. Here's some photos:

Steve has lots of great photos here also. Some of my favorites are:

• Coyote at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge
• Pair of Golden Eagles, also Malheur
• Badger at Malheur
• Great Horned Owl at Malheur
• Osprey on the Malheur River

And a little video of Laika being happy to get to stay in a hotel, where she's allowed to sleep with us. She's very funny about it, too...she has to get under the sheets and burrow down in. No sleeping on top at the foot of the bed for this puppy.
